June Bennett

Holistic Author Coach & Developmental Editor, The Author Oasis

About this speaker

June Bennett has always been intrigued by the infinite ways in which nature’s wilderness mirrors the inner terrain of a human’s experiences –and she is a skilled guide in helping her authors navigate the wild spaces within, through writing. As a Holistic Author Coach, she not only provides direction, clarity, insight, and accountability for her authors; she also prioritizes each writer’s self-care to ensure they are well-resourced for the long haul of getting their manuscript written. June is certified in the trauma-informed modality of Transformational Coaching and uses its practices (along with her own system, called the Elemental Approach to Embodied Writing) to assist her clients in getting clear, motivated, and moving forward on their book-writing journey. June is the author of GREENIFY: AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR’S GUIDE TO FOSTERING CARE & SUSTAINABILITY FOR SELF, OTHERS, & THE PLANET; and co-author and developmental editor of the memoir/anthology WATER IN THE DESERT: STORIES OF WOMEN’S RESILIENCE. She is the founder of THE AUTHOR OASIS (her author-coaching and developmental editing business that supports transformational-memoir writers); the facilitator of THE AUTHOR APPRENTICE (a collaborative, anthology-writing program); the creator of the online course, AUTHOR EXCAVATIONS (a memory-curating and writing habits course for budding memoirists); and the architect of THE LIBRARY APOTHECARY (an online literary sanctuary – coming soon! – that will promote the authors she works with, as a way to help them to build their author platform). June spends her time between California and Hawaii. She is an avid hiker, surfer, and lover of all animals, and is passionate about giving back to this blue marble we live on, by taking part in regular efforts that protect our world's beaches and oceans.
